Frequently Asked Questions

A One-Time Link is a secure way to share sensitive information (like passwords, PINs, or private messages) that destroys itself after being viewed.

Here is how it works:

  1. You write your secret message.
  2. The system generates a unique link.
  3. You send the link to the recipient.
  4. Once the recipient opens the link, the message is permanently deleted from our servers. It cannot be viewed again.

Your privacy is our top priority. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

Most importantly, we do not store read messages. Once a link is opened (or expires), the data is completely wiped from our database. Since the data no longer exists, it is impossible for us, hackers, or anyone else to retrieve it.

If you suspect you sent the link to the wrong person, you should click the link yourself immediately.

Since the link is "one-time use," opening it yourself will destroy the message. When the unintended recipient tries to click the link later, they will only see a "404 Not Found" or "Message does not exist" error.

No. Absolutely not.

Once a message is viewed, it is permanently deleted. We do not keep backups or logs of the content. This is a deliberate security feature to ensure that your sensitive data leaves no trace.

A link remains active until one of two things happens:

  • It is viewed: The moment someone clicks the link, it is deleted instantly.
  • Time expires: If no one clicks the link within the set timeframe you have chosen (e.g., 7 days), the system automatically deletes it to ensure security.

When you send a password via email or chat, that record stays in:

  • Your "Sent" items.
  • The recipient's "Inbox" or chat history.
  • The cloud servers of the email/chat provider.

Using a One-Time Link ensures that the sensitive information exists only for the brief moment it is needed, and then disappears forever, leaving no digital footprint.

You are absolutely right that PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) is the gold standard for encryption. However, PGP requires setup: both you and the recipient need special software and must exchange public keys beforehand.

Our service is designed for convenience and speed:

  • No Setup Required: The recipient does not need any technical knowledge, software, or keys to receive the password.
  • Universal Access: You can send a secure link to anyone, on any device (phone, tablet, or desktop).
  • Auto-Destruction: Unlike PGP, where the decrypted file might remain on the recipient's hard drive, our system ensures the data is deleted from existence immediately after viewing.

Yes. While our system deletes the digital message immediately after viewing, we cannot control what the recipient does with their device locally.

A recipient could take a screenshot, take a photo with another phone, or copy-paste the text. Therefore, only send sensitive information to people you trust to handle it responsibly.

No. The link URL might appear in your history, but the content of the message will not.

Furthermore, once the link is clicked, that URL becomes "dead." Anyone trying to visit that URL from your browser history later will only see an error page indicating the message is gone.

We believe in transparency. Here is how we handle data distinction:

  • Your Secret Message: We do not log your IP address or location in our internal database alongside your secret message. The message content remains strictly private and is deleted after viewing.
  • Site Traffic & Ads: To keep this service free, we use third-party tools like Google Analytics and Google AdSense. These services may collect standard non-personal data (cookies, approximate location, device type) to display relevant ads and help us improve the website performance.

Important: These third-party tools verify traffic quality but do not have access to the decrypted content of your secret messages.

Do not open it if you do not know the sender.

Our service is designed for secure communication between trusted parties. We strictly prohibit the use of our platform for spam, phishing, or illegal activities.

If you encounter a link that violates these terms, please simply ignore it. Since we do not track senders, we cannot identify who sent it, but the content will destroy itself automatically regardless.

Yes.

From the moment you click "Create Link" until the moment the recipient views it, your message is stored in our database in an encrypted format.

This means that even in the unlikely event of a data breach, the raw data would be unreadable. Once the link is accessed, the data is decrypted for the recipient and then immediately wiped from the server permanently.
